An invitation to cultural organisations in Türkiye and Europe to cooperate, build on their experiences, and create together. The Ortaklaşa International Cultural Cooperation Call, launched as part of the Ortaklaşa: Culture, Dialogue and Support Programme implemented by the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (İKSV) with the support of the European Union, in partnership with Culture Action Europe (CAE) and in collaboration with Marmara Municipalities Union (MMU), will open on 17 September.
In its first phase, the Ortaklaşa Sub-Grant Programme was met with great interest from across Türkiye. We received 252 project proposals from 44 cities involving 187 local governments ranging from metropolitan to district municipalities.
In this process, we provided a total of 1.3 million euros in sub-grants to 13 projects realised in collaboration of 13 CSOs and 18 municipalities. These partnerships on the local level sowed the first seeds of a new working model based on trust.
