In the second phase of Ortaklaşa, we see the mentorship process as a journey of learning where the experience multiplies the more we share it. Our aim is to to the institutional needs of the grantee teams, increase the impact of the projects, and contribute to the development of fair cooperations between CSOs and municipalities.
In this process, we are initiating a companionship by bringing together the representatives of grantee organisations with experts from the field of cultural policies, local governments, and the business world in Türkiye.
Individual Support for the Project’s Needs: Each project sets out with a comprehensive needs assessment that identifies its own priorities. The mentor and the project team proceed within the framework of a “mentorship agreement” where they determine the targets and the timetable together.
Learning from One Another: In addition to one-on-one meetings, we hold peer learning sessions that bring together the teams working on similar subjects. We overcome the challenges with shared wisdom and create a community of learning by sharing the good practices.
Local Experiences, International Perspectives: Our pool of mentors is composed of experts who are well-versed in the local dynamics of Türkiye. Meanwhile, our partner CAE contributes to the development of the projects through a multidimensional perspective by drawing on the repertoire of practices in Europe.
We make the methods and solutions produced at the end of this journey accessible to the entire country through the Ortaklaşa community. By this means, we aim for each partnership to leave its lasting mark on the participatory cultural management memory of Türkiye.
